St Catherine's Hospice

St Catherine's Hospice is a Crawley-based charity, providing end of life care for people across Sussex and Surrey. As well as helping local people with a terminal illness to spend their precious time feeling comfortable, supported and free from pain, St Catherine's offers counselling, bereavement support, and welfare advice for both patients and their families. In April 2017 we had a change of Partnership at the Practice.

Dr Robert Ward stepped down as Partner, and Dr Katie Weedon, became a Partner.

Practice Management

Our Practice Business Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of Furnace Green Surgery. She will be pleased to help you with any problems or queries you may have concerning the practice and will always welcome your comments - whether they be good or bad.

Please don't forget, you have a Patient Participation Group working for you at this surgery.  Do contact them with ideas and suggestions to make your surgery better for all.

Working alongside her are the clerical, administrative and secretarial team who are always ready to help you.

Our practice secretaries are Jackie Standing & Joan Bayliss. They provide accurate, efficient and punctual medical secretarial support to the GPs, Partners, Management, Nurses and Admin.

Anne-Marie Patto, Kim O’Hara, Michelle Hanley, Michelle Huntbach, Penny Armstrong, Laura White, and Lisa Killen are our dedicated medical reception team who are here to help you. We also have a new lady in training, Nicky Bartlett.

They answer all the many phone calls coming into the surgery, respond to your enquiries and arrange repeat prescriptions when requested. They also support all the processing of documents within the surgery and between your doctor and the hospitals.

Their job is extremely demanding so please be patient.
